Summit High Faces Independence High in Football Showdown
Staff Report / SHlocal.org
This Friday, November 1, Summit High School will face off against Independence High School in a football game. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
In light of recent events, the Spring Hill Police Department has issued a warning following an incident that occurred last night. A large mortar-style firework was thrown at a house, causing it to explode near the residence. The fire ignited some toilet paper that had been wrapped around bushes, but the homeowner managed to extinguish the flames with a garden hose.
Additionally, another home and several vehicles in the driveway were damaged when a significant number of eggs were thrown at them, resulting in felony-level vandalism damages.
As a result of these incidents, eight juveniles have been taken to the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with vandalism. Arrest warrants are pending for other individuals involved who are of legal adult age.
The Spring Hill Police Department is advising attendees to refrain from destructive activities related to the football game and to respect others' property.
